Careers

Build the platform that audits its own answers.

We are a small Canadian team shipping the AI intelligence layer that already runs in production across 6+ roles' worth of work — and we're hiring across engineering, design, and go-to-market for the next chapter.

What we hire for

Honest hedges over fabricated certainty

When something isn't shipped, we say so. When something is in-progress, we name the date. The product carries the same contract: em-dash placeholders mean we honestly don't know yet. Customers reward that. So do regulators.

Built by Simplification.io in Canada

We are a Canadian company with global ambition. Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver — and our customer base spans Canada, the EU, the Gulf, and the US. We hire for time-zone overlap, not for flag-planting.

Compounding compounders

Per-customer memory compounds with usage. Skill evolution compounds with cohort scale. Trust Center transparency compounds with regulator scrutiny. We hire people whose work compounds — the engineer whose abstraction stays useful in v3, the writer whose explanation outlives the feature.

Regulator-grade by default

EU AI Act Article 13. PHIPA. PIPEDA. GDPR. CCPA. SOC 2 in-progress (Type 1 audit Q3 2026). We design for the audit before the auditor shows up.

Open roles

All roles remote-first. Canada-time-zone overlap preferred for engineering. Apply via the contact form with the role ID and a link to your work.

Senior Platform Engineer (FastAPI · PostgreSQL · Celery)

eng-platform-2026-05·Engineering·Remote (CA preferred · EU/MENA welcome)·full time

CAD 145,000 – 195,000 / year

Apply

Own the multi-tenant FastAPI backbone behind ARIA: 12-step pipeline, Row-Level Security on every table, alembic-managed migrations (currently 0057), Celery beat workers for the 7 memory zones. You'll ship features alongside per-decision audit-trail rigor — every PATCH writes to org_audit_log, every new table goes ENABLE+FORCE RLS on day one.

You should have

  • 5+ years Python (async)
  • Production PostgreSQL — RLS, partial indexes, CHECK constraints, alembic
  • FastAPI or equivalent ASGI framework
  • Has shipped multi-tenant SaaS at scale
  • Comfort writing the regression test that catches the cross-tenant leak before it ships

Nice to have

  • Qdrant or other vector store ops experience
  • EU AI Act / GDPR / SOC 2 implementation history
  • MCP server or LLM-router contributions

Senior Frontend Engineer (Next.js 15 · React 19 · TypeScript)

eng-frontend-2026-05·Engineering·Remote (CA preferred)·full time

CAD 135,000 – 180,000 / year

Apply

Ship the customer SPA, admin portal, landing site, and trust center. Next.js 15 App Router, React 19, TypeScript 5.x, Tailwind, shadcn-style primitives. You'll work the 60-surface design system, brutalist empty-states, dark mode, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA target), and 17-handler modal layer.

You should have

  • 4+ years TypeScript + React in production
  • Next.js App Router experience (Server Components, Server Actions)
  • WCAG 2.1 AA fluency — Axe scans land at zero criticals on your shipped routes
  • Eye for honest empty states (BUG_TRACKER §38 sensibility)

Nice to have

  • Framer Motion / view-transitions
  • Brutalist or anti-corporate design background
  • i18n with RTL (Arabic) experience

ML / Applied Research Engineer (Memory Architecture · LLM Routing)

eng-ml-2026-05·Engineering·Remote (CA preferred)·full time

CAD 160,000 – 220,000 / year

Apply

Own the 7-zone memory architecture beyond v1.x. Z6 cohort math with 3-layer privacy floor. Z7 identity synthesis with EU AI Act Article 13 audit trail. Multi-LLM router (BYOK across OpenAI · Anthropic · Mistral; AWS Bedrock + Azure OpenAI in v1.10.0). Skill evolution scoring + clustering.

You should have

  • Production LLM systems experience — RAG, evals, routing, fine-tuning
  • Comfort with privacy-preserving cohort math
  • Has shipped one of: vector retrieval, prompt caching, or governed agent loops

Nice to have

  • Differential privacy or k-anonymity background
  • EU AI Act audit-trail design experience

Product Designer (Brutalist · Design Systems · Behavioral)

design-product-2026-05·Design·Remote (CA preferred)·full time

CAD 120,000 – 165,000 / year

Drive the 60-surface customer SPA forward. Brutalist palette (paper background, ink border, hard-shadow box, 'Caveat' handwritten captions) without losing accessibility. You'll work the design system, shadcn-style primitive layer, dark-mode pass, mobile drawer, modal layer, and 9 brutalist empty-state primitives.

You should have

  • 5+ years product design with a design-system spine
  • Has shipped a brutalist or anti-corporate visual language without sacrificing WCAG AA
  • Behavioral fluency — comfortable applying frameworks without naming them in the UI

Nice to have

  • Trust-center or compliance-surface design experience
  • Multi-tenant agency-tier dashboard patterns
